Christmas Volunteer Registration

Join our incredible team of volunteers and help create a welcoming Christmas Day experience for people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage or loneliness.

Newcastle Christmas Lunch in the Park

Now in its 26th year, Samaritans Christmas Lunch in the Park is the region's largest and longest running Christmas Day event.

We aim to offer individuals and families experiencing homelessness, disadvantage or loneliness, much needed compassion on Christmas Day.

The event is held at Foreshore Park, Newcastle on Christmas Day and there are a number of special volunteer roles available.

You will need to register your interest to volunteer at the Samaritans Christmas Lunch in the Park.

Why volunteer?

Every Christmas Day, hundreds of people attend Newcastle Christmas Lunch in the Park seeking connection, companionship and a festive meal.

Volunteers help create a welcoming and inclusive experience for individuals and families who may otherwise spend Christmas alone.

You may already have a WWCC number. If so, please provide your number when completing our volunteer registration form.

If you need help to apply, renew or update your WWCC, please click here.
